About the program:

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is a coherent degree course aiming at producing graduates in the branch of Ayurveda having basic knowledge of Ayurveda with scientific specifications in accordance with Ayurvedic fundamentals. The students go through extensive practical training to become efficient consultants, teachers and Research workers, in different fields and branches of Ayurveda to serve productively in the medical and health services of the country.

Eligibility and Duration:

Eligibility: Any candidate of the age 17 who has pursued senior secondary education with Science and Biology as compulsory subject is eligible for the course.

Total intake: 100

Duration: BAMS is a 5 year long course divided into 10 semesters.

Other highlights of the program:

The students get a hand on experience of dealing with patients and well equipped labs. They get a practical knowledge of the various processes involved in the field of Ayurveda. The institute has its very own herbal garden.

Approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine, Department of Ayush, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, New Delhi and Government of Uttarakhand.
