About B.Sc Agriculture
B.Sc. in Agriculture is a professional degree and a 4 years-long practical course with an emphasis on ‘hands-on’ experience and ‘learning by doing’. The curriculum is very broad and interdisciplinary which gives an in-depth knowledge of Agronomy, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Agricultural Economics, Genetics, Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Food Technology, Animal Husbandry, Basic Sciences, Humanities, and Agricultural Engineering.
Frequent visits to agro-based industries, surveys, and collaborative wildlife habitat studies with the state forest department are conducted to upgrade the intellectual and practical skills of the students & to keep them industry-ready. There is an agricultural farm inside the college campus to give hands-on experience to the students.
