B.Sc. in Microbiology
B.Sc. in Microbiology is a 3-Year undergraduate programme. It is a broad discipline that involves the study of the biology of viruses, protozoa, fungi, and bacteria. The main focus of this Microbiology Course is to study and understand the pathogenic potential of the various organisms that cause diseases in human beings. This also covers multiple aspects of the biochemistry, physiology, and genetics of microorganisms.
The bachelor of science in microbiology offers a broad understanding for students in various areas of microbiology to satisfy the demands of industry & academia. The course curriculum of this course followed at the institute is the perfect blend of theoretical and practical knowledge. Therefore, along with the advanced course curriculum, the students are also provided with the requisite multiple laboratory programs and research projects.
Under this program, the students are introduced to fundamental research on physiology, biochemistry, cell biology, evolution ecology, and clinical aspects related to microorganisms, including the host response to these agents. The programme trains students to develop a sense of identification with the agents of infectious diseases and devise ways to combat them.
