INSIGHT 360-The Photography Club

The Photography Club is a blend of people who want to capture and create beauty. The club aims to create the opportunities for every student to discover the artist within themselves. It also gives them the platform to paint their dreams into reality.

The main purpose / objectives of this club:

  • To train the students to have child’s eye for observation, an artist’s taste for beauty and a poet’s expression for emotion which would thereby emulate technical concepts and ideas into reality.
  • To encourage students to express their thoughts and emotions through art or photography.
  • To make students to learn the transformation of technical facts into real-time applications.
  • To enable an artistic approach of patience and trigger shooting mind by arranging photographic related gathering and exchange their knowledge, with the help of events such as workshops, exhibitions and photography tours.
  • To inculcate the habit of imagination of concept transformation for implementation.

To Develop Photographic Skills among students and to empower them to become young Short film makers, photographers which would increase their analyzing and sensing skills.

Parvaaz: The Power to fly – Literature Club

This club aims to develop analytical and creative thinking skills. It offers opportunities to appreciate different types of literature and increase their own literary skills. It aims at not only refining the literary skills of the students but also developing in them logic and curiosity to know more and to instill in them a confidence to speak well. It is a club made for people who love literature and want to share their experiences, readings and thoughts with others who have the same interest and talent.

The main purpose / objectives of this club:

  • To enhance creative skills of the students
  • To enhance their imagination power
  • To provide them a platform to present themselves as well as to express their thoughts
  • To  improve their writing skills

We will organize various activities which are related to the aim of the club. The activities will include- essay writing competitions, debate discussions, open mic sessions, poetry writing. The Sports club “SPHOORTI”  is committed to provide a healthy sporting habit among the students. It helps to learn teamwork, coordination among diverse cultural & ethnic groups and mainly infuses discipline & instills the value system in one individual. Value of time, precision & competitiveness are the major learning points apart from communication, coordination & teamwork.

Sports club encourages students to develop their sports skills in various outdoor and indoor games like Football, Handball, Tennis, Cricket, Badminton, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Athletics, Chess, Carom Board, Table Tennis, Physical Fitness Program (will be conducted in Gym), Weight Lifting. Our college has grounds and equipment for each of these sports. The club also encourages the students to participate in Inter College and Intramural College sports competitions.

Football, Tennis, Cricket, Basketball, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Badminton, Throw Ball and Athletics.

 Crafiti – Art and Craft Club

Art & Craft club is a platform to develop aesthetic values and enhance the creative skills and artistic talents of students. Art & craft just fit in together. They are a different process, of course, but hold the same meaning: creation. Art involves an unstructured activity where students can explore and create anything with their imaginations; however, craft involves a structured activity where children create something keeping their goal in mind.

The main purpose / objectives of this club:

  • It holds and supports the personal, social, moral, spiritual, and creative development of a child.
  • It helps the students to participate and explore the visual and tactile experience.

Theatre or theater is a collaborative form of fine art that uses live performers, typically actor or actresses, to present the experience of a real or imagined event before a live audience in a specific place, often a stage. The performers may communicate this experience to the audience through combinations of gesture, speech, song, music, and dance.

AIM of the events

The global goals of our curriculum that guide our students are the following:

National Service Scheme

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji’s Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing student’s personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community (esp. Villages) linkage. Orientation of students in national problems. Study of philosophy of NSS. Basic concepts and components of NSS. Special camping programme.

Fundamental rights, Directive principles of state policy.

Awareness programme, Consumer awareness, Highlights of consumer act. Function literacy non formal education of rural youth. Environment enrichment and conservation. Health, family welfare and nutrition. Brief of five year plans.

AIM of the Events

  1. The programme aims to instill the idea of social welfare in students, and to provide service to society without bias.
  2. NSS volunteers work to ensure that everyone who is needy gets help to enhance their standard of living and lead a life of dignity.
  3. In doing so, volunteers learn from people in villages how to lead a good life despite a scarcity of resources.
  4. It also provides help in natural and man-made disasters by providing food, clothing and first aid to the disaster’s victims.
  5. To integrate the nation through social service.

Surtaal (Music and Dance Club)

If you like performing, creating, listening to, and writing music, then this is the club for you. The dance club “Surtaal” serves as a platform for musicians of all genres and skill levels to showcase their talent at various events held at DBGI. Through music club dozens of musicians on campus get a change to bring the stage to life and to make the crowd go crazy with their awesome vocal and instrumental talent! Despite their hectic schedules, the musicians on campus come together and put up entertaining shows.

Further the students are trained and guided for participating in inter college competition. This club is a voluntary organization dedicated for the promotion of music and dancing skills of the students.

Music is in the air! In Music club students will explore genres of music, how music is made, and how to use the coolest musical apps available. The best part of Music club will be our regular student performances and the various Talent Shows, where participants can build confidence and exhibit their talents.

Surtaal, the dance club, aims to connect more DBGI students, faculty, and staff, with the world of dance. Specifically, we want students to experience different styles of dance and let everyone believe that ANY BODY CAN DANCE! Our club gives students a way to maintain or discover a love of dance. Based on input from club coordinators and members and academic departments, we bring guest artists to campus to give workshops, performances, and lectures throughout the year… Any and all levels of experience are welcome; the club environment is very laid back and friendly; we are always looking for people who like to dance!

The motive of the club is to boost up the morale of students and to highlight the talent of dance and creativity. It provides opportunities to dance lovers to prove their talent and it is a good platform for them to have their artistic exploration. This club plays an important role in maintaining the positive environment in the university. The club incorporates a variety of dance styles, including modern and jazz, with some ballet. Dancers will be introduced to the different kinds of dance, while later exploring the mechanics of the structure of each style, and finally learning a routing integrating all dance styles.

AIM of the Club

  • To gain familiarity with a range of different musical practices and traditions, including selected classical, Indian popular, and folk practices.
  • To learn to create (perform and compose), and analyze music.
  • The club focuses on students performing musical exercises such as playing through scales, chord charts, strumming patterns and rhythms and they will practice these rhythms independently and in groups.
  • To demonstrate a clear understanding of collaboration in the creative process through leadership, participation and reflection.
  • To develop a multifaceted physicality through training in dance techniques.
  • To encourage cultural and folk dance fortes of India
  • To boost student’s innate dancing through weekly dance sessions
  • To introduce students to upcoming and uberchic dance forms through various workshops

M.E.S.S. (Mechanical Engineering Student’s Society) was raised by the Mechanical Engineering Department of DBIT on the occasion of Engineer’s Day 15-sept-2018. The main purpose of this society was to make student participate in extracurricular activities. As extracurricular activities like games, talent hunt, debate competitions, quizzes, etc., provides platform to students to explore new dimensions of their personality.

These activities will also help students to explore their respective interests and may unlock new passion in them.

Activities like debate and presentation competition will help students to improve their public speaking skills and will make them feel confident. Later this quality in them will definitely help them in corporate and industrial world. And activates like quizzes will help them test their knowledge and general awareness. Whereas competitions like gamming, photography, poetry, poster making will help them make new hobbies and will refine the artist inside them.

The more one will participate in such activities the more benefits they will get from it. Hence, M.E.S.S. has the aim of providing platform to each and every student of the college to explore endless talent within them.

As, the society will be controlled and managed by students only, under the supervision of the faculties. Hence it will help students to improve their managerial and communication skills.
