A guest lecture on Biodiversity & Informatics
ABOUT EVENT
Technology taking over almost every sphere of the industry, has found a rapid advancement in the field of agriculture and forestry. To familiarize the students with the advancement and applicability of technology in the field if forestry, a guest lecture on Biodiversity and Informatics was conducted on 7th April, 2018. The lecture was attended by around sixty 3rd year students from B.Sc. Forestry and Agriculture. The event saw Er. Neelesh Yadav, a scientist from FRI, as the chief speaker.
Informatics is a subject component of Information technology which can help predict various models depicting the development of various species in a given period of time. It contributes to the improved management and presentation of the data along with exploring, discovering and analyzing of the same.
A well versed lecturer and scientist, Er. Yadav, managed to keep the students engrossed in an intriguing lecture and the students were able to understand the ingress of technological attributes in the field of forestry and agriculture. The students participated in an active discussion with the eminent speaker, and look forward to many such inspiring lectures.
