National Conclave on Effective Industry Academia Partnership: Opportunities & Challenges
It is a well observed fact that the students coming out of the academic cocoon are not ready to face the vast Industrial world that awaits them. The reason for this concerning issue is that the education provided in the various institutes lacks the practical touch meant to prepare the students for the industrial world. Due to this reason a student lacks the knowledge of grabbing any opportunity when there are plenty waiting for them. Hence, the Conclave was a step to bridge this academic and industrial gap, so that the students are industry ready.
The event that took place on 13April, 2018 saw an active participation of all students and Faculties from Dev Bhoomi Group of Institutes (DGBI). It also saw the presence of Mr. Sanjay Bansal (Chairman DBGI), Mr. Aman Bansal (Managing Director), Dr. A.K. Jaiswal (Director DBIT), Dr. Amit Thakur (Joint Director), Dr. Amit Bhatt (Director DBIMS), Dr. Manish Kumar Thakur (Registrar), Dr. Anchal Sharma(Director DBSA) and Mr. Shubhashish Goswami (Dean Academics). The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. U.S. Rawat, Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Technical University (UTU). The Conclave had Dr. Rajedra Dobhal, Director General- UCOST and Dr. Anita Rawat, Registrar- UTU, as the guests of honor.s
The eminent speakers at the event were Dr. Vineet Madan (HOD, Chemistry division, FRI), Dr. Ankur Dumka (UPES), Mr. Vijendra Chauhan (CEO, Evon Technologies), Ms.Diksha Dhoundiyal ( ) and Ms. Ritu Garg ( ).
They highlighted the need for this Academia Industrial partnership and how it could improve the scope of growth for the students and create openings in the employment sector. They also emphasized the importance of establishing small scale and micro businesses so as to provide employment opportunities to others as well. The conclave was a step towards making the DBGI group a top B.Tech. and Management college in Dehradun.
