ABOUT EVENT
DBIT, ,a top B.Tech college in Dehradun, conducted a technical workshop on Internet of Things (Iot) on 8th April, 2018 for the students of Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics branches of B.Tech. The workshop was supervised by Dr. Rajesh Singh and Dr. Anita Gahlol. The college has laid emphasis on acquainting the students with practical knowledge and keeps them updated with the latest technologies that are being introduced in the industry.
With a visible advancement in the automation of machines and other objects, IoT is an in-trend technical topic making its place in almost every sphere of Industry. It focuses on converging of various technologies like electronic devices, vehicles, household equipments and various other objects, connected on network and further embedded with electronics, software, sensors and connectivity.
The whole sole purpose of IoT is to reduce the human intervention in various processes so as to improve the efficiency and reduce the time involved in different processes. Being acquainted with the technical advancements, the students understood that the IoT is the advent of technical advancements in the day to day activities. Having understood this, they could deduce the possibilities and the career options that IoT could open for these students
